Uh, buy a GTI, exhaust, intake, chip & tune.

FI is the cheapest way, Supercharger being possible with the right pulley and tuning but you're getting to the top of the limits.

Turbo would be better in my opinion. 4-5 for the SC, 7-10 for a well-tuned turbo.

6 thousand dollars will have to be spent if you go with used parts. If you buy new, prepare to spend 8 thousand.

Or, buy an EMS, 3mm headgasket, and a ton of nitrous. Retard the hell out of the timing, and make sure your tune is spot on. You should be able to accomplish it this way for about 3-4 thousand depending on whether or not you can install the headgasket on your own.

I bought all my parts new for $5600 for a S/C setup(Vortech, injectors, emanage, etc), this is not including install costs...and I'm at 358whp. once you get all the necessary parts upgrading boost will not cost as much. for $160 more i can upgrade my pulley and get to 400whp which i will be doing in mid january.

btw you'll need to upgrade your clutch to hold the power. bought mine for $600 and install was about the same.

I'd have to say i spent about 8K into the car for all parts and install/tune.

I'm pushing 8 psi at the moment. Shawn Church of Church automotive in willmington Socal tuned it. I'm not much of a tuner, but i'm sure if you know the basics of tuning it can be done.
