Check engine light on at 25,800 miles. HELP
Alright so my car has 25,800 miles and the check engine light came on tonight. The car drives FINE. The car idles FINE.
I check the oil good, been using nothing but premium at the pump.
Owners manual says it may be due to emissions problems etc.
Damnit ! I know that civics and Integras had a green plug that you could jump to check out the codes when the light came on. Do S2k's have the same or will I end up having to take it in?
Ideas or suggetions?
Thanks.

You need to pull the DTC. You can go to Autozone and have them pull the code for you. They do it for free. Or you can get the dealer to pull it for you.
Without the DTC code there is really not much we can help you with.

I use to do this on my Integra and Civic . there was a green plug at the bottom of the passenger side dashboard.
Does anyone know if the S2k also has this feature? So that I can just jump it with a paper clip and do it.
Also can Autozone run it on a S2k?
Thanks.

Autozone has pulled codes for me a number of times. Or you can buy a ODBII Scan tool from many auto parts stores. A basic one is about 100 or so.
