Geez, they really are catering to the American consumers (who don't read owner's manuals) with each subsequent generation.
I'm waiting for the AP3 with the 6k redline, auto tranny, and the tire minder that tells you that your tires are too bald....

It will have 4 doors, and backup alarm. One of the doors will slide sideways with a press of a button.
Windshield wipers will come on by itself, and parking break will disengage automatically when car is in D.
Mirrors will fold, and dim. Seats will be 24 ways adjustable, and headlights will follow the turns.

Secondly, I suspect they could be catering to the people that have the problem with the f'd up fuel filler neck (like me). I have to use a special trick (squeezing the outside edge of the cap while turning) to get the cap to turn past a "sticking point". If I don't do that, I get 3 clicks before the gas cap is fully secured, and subsequently I get a CEL. Check the UTH forum, it's not an uncommon problem.

This was only an issue for all 2002 and some early 2003 cars.

Why not just get a new filler neck? Honda even did it for me for free, but you may be too far out of warranty. But you could always ask.

No check engine light, just an annoying message saying CHECK FUEL CAP. Yes I tighten it until it clicks.
My friend with his M3 has the same problem. His CEL came on and it was the same thing. He told me the peeps on the M3 forum said all you have to do is replace the gas cap, if not then it's the fuel neck.
I did notice my gas cap is kinda loose, so it might be leaking air in and that's why the message is coming. What do you guys think? should I just order a new gas cap?
