I been in that there boat before - only it was with a 1969 buick skylark we was tryin to drive across the state on a sunday and no auto parts stores was open.

the seal and spring on the cap is everthing....

 

thanks for the advice. i wonder if there is a relationship between how long you keep your coolant without a change and the radiator cap life? i have changed mine already and i only have 37,000 miles on it...but i have the car for 5 years! i have no faith in lifetime coolant.
