Not trying to offend anybody, but I would not even think of putting a child in the S. Even in car reviews(if that means anything to ppl), it states it is not recommended, airbag off or on. In my opinion, you should either have another car to put your child in, or just dont get the S at all. You might be a safe and careful driver, but you cant rely on everyone on the road being like that. As good as the crash test ratings for the S are, I still feel it is a higher risk than if you had a kid in the back of a car.
I dont know if its just me who feels like this, but I usually cant trust but myself when I'm on the road. IMHO, this is not the car to be putting children in. I feel like I must stress it just due to alot of ppl really not knowing how to control the car and even if you can control it, you cant rely on other drivers being just as careful.
Just my .02. As I've said, not trying to offend anybody but when your on the road, you really dont have control of how other drivers are.

Yea honestly. Do you want an s2000 that badly that you are willing to endanger your child for it?

Do the airbag deactivator install at a dealership, tell the ex to stick it somewhere. Ex-wives blow goats.

Ex? Anger towards you? Once the relationship ends, so does the b*tching, otherwise, might as well stay together

To defend myself and recent arguments I have been picking her up in the DA. My ex doesn't approve and to prevent arguments at the day care I make things easy. I've only driven with her in the S once so far and that was actually to go to Coldstone for some ice cream. I live with my girl friend who has a 2000 Mitsu. Galant and that is obviously the choice when dinning driving and such is at hand. I can not take myself, my daughter, and the girl friend out all at once. It's impossible.
Not making some excuses and don't want you guys mad! I take care of all my babies, even if they are mechanical or not. Was just getting feedback.

Thanks guys.

sorry man. i love the S2000 but I think your priorities are a little mixed around. Your daughter's safety has gotta be #1 on the list.

WTF you guys, why the cheap dogpile?

I.It is pointless to categorically state that the passenger seat is inappropriate for kids. Depending on the MY, the seats have multiple stage bags depending on the weight and position of the passenger.
2. Regardless of the MY, the front seat, as long as it is not a rearward facing baby seat, or cranked to the front of the adjustment, it likelier that that child is SAFER than in MANY other cars given the safety rating of the car.

I would have no problem with a child seat in the S as long as the air bag is disabled...

Just keep the DA and use that to transport your kid.
