child seat install
It's not that complicated. All this talk about "setups" and researching for months. Putting a child seat in the S is no different than any other vehicle. There are no lower anchors, so use the shoulder belt with a locking clip. What would make it difficult though, like I wrote earlier, is fitting your hand between the child seat and center console to buckle the belt. It's a PITA to buckle the belt with my daughter in her booster, and I can lift it up. You can't do that if you're trying to cinch down a child seat.
If you don't know how to secure a child seat using the shoulder belt and a locking clip and make it so tight that when you push and pull on the seat you make the entire car move, have someone, like a car seat tech at a fire station, show you.
If you aren't able to deactivate the passenger airbag, don't do it. Not only is there the impact of the airbag, but there's breathing and burns of the gas that's used.
In addition to safety of airbags and child seats, there's the noise. Don't do if you'll be driving top down at highway speeds. Would you want to risk damaging your child's hearing at such a young age?

I went to Babies r us and bought the narrowest seat they had. I measured between the bolsters and their depth first to make sure whatever I found would fit. Fortunately the narrowest seat was the cheapest. Dont worry, they all have to conform to crash standards. Our seats have no latch so you need to use the seatbelt. I pushed my seat as far back as possible and then reclined it as far back as possible. Put down the seat protector and a towel folded under the rear of the child seat. Got it as snug as I could and then pulled the S2000 seat back as far forward as I could. This method really gets the seat tight as the seat back pushes the child seat forward against the seatbelt. This works for us and my child is 3. I have a 2006 so I see that the passenger airbag is turned off. Like others said, you really need to make sure that the airbag is not going to deploy!
This is not a topic to debate if a child seat should go in a S2000.
If you put a child seat in an S2000 you have to also put in an airbag switch to deactivate the airbag when the seat is in use. This is the only safe way to have a young child in the car.
06+ have a weight sensor but earlier years can have a switch installed.

Some people like to take risks.....
I should have looked a bit longer for a pic where the kids DIDNT have helmets on.
I have a Recaro booster seat for my 8 yo son. Check your state's regulation--where I live, there is no legal requirement to ride in the back. Of course, kids are safest riding in the middle rear seat, in an appropriate car seat (for an infant car seat, facing backwards as long as the seat fits).
I usually transport my son in my other car, a 4 door sedan.

Manual says children shouldn't be in this car, that's why there's nothing in the car to hook up the car seat or info in the manual about how to put a car seat in it because the air bag can kill a child if deployed. In the case of an accident the insurance could hold u responsible for the child's medical bill and that will be outta pocket, and depending on the state if something happens to the child u can be charged with criminal charges and serve jail time. Personally I wouldn't risk my child's lifes by riding with me, that's just me, everyone do with their kids what they want...
