Default Chin/Lip Spoiler

Can anyone give me a ballpark on how much lower an OEM AP1 or Amuse chin spoiler extends? In other words how much less clearance do you have before your chin spoiler scrapes?

I fabricated some temp spoilers to get an idea of how it's like driving w/ a lower front. It scrapes too often for my likes and extends about 1.5" below the stock bumper. I'm hoping to get a similar reference from the OEM or Amuse lip (or others) since I'd like to purchase one.

Also, any feedback on the Urethane replicas they sell on ebay?

Any help appreciated!

some pics of how low i have things now for reference.

Half an inch? That's not bad.

0.5" is correct for the OEM AP1 lip. However, for the Amuse lip, it's not just how far it hangs down but how far it hangs forward. This cuts down on the "angle of approach" significantly.
Look here to see how the Amuse sits:

As you can see, those spacers are almost 2" long, so that would make the lip hang down over an inch more than the OEM lip, BUT, it sticks out way further from the front of the car. I ALWAYS scraped my driveway with the Amuse and never scraped even with the AP2 lip and I've had AP1 lip equipped cars come my driveway no problem.

I just installed the OEM AP1 lip last Friday and 1/2 inch is correct. Just take driveways slow and at an angle and you'll be fine.

Considering the OEM lip comes with hardware, painted, and with rubber seal, I don't think buying the replica offers any real savings.

Thanks for the link xviper. I am looking at getting an Amuse front lip soon and I have sent that link to myself at home.

Be forewarned. Ask for those spacer cylinders and bolts. Without them, it's much harder to align the Amuse lip and hold it in place after it's on. If you don't get them, you can use that link to "manufacture" you own with those measurements.

Yeah, after I saw the link, it occured to me that the ones on eBay never say they have the hardware with it. I sent each of the seller questions asking if they have the hardware as well. Without the hardware, I won't buy it.
