Is it safe to scrape the icy rear glass window?
Hi. I've never daily driven the S in winter until now and I'm wondering how the members deal with the ice on the rear window. Do you simpy start the car and turn the rear defroster on and wait? Or, is it safe to take a winter scraper and scrape the ice off the rear glass window? I don't want to tear the glass window away from the convertible top with too much pressure.

Yes, make sure and remove all the ice before putting the top down

PLASTIC WINDOW OWNERS...DO NOT DROP YOUR TOP IN THE WINTER, UNLESS YOUR CAR IS GARAGED AND HEATED.
I know you think that noone drives top down in winter, but since I do, I dont want other members to get confused.

I'm in the DC area where we get a couple 3 months of real winter, and couldn't picture myself putting the top down. Heck I put it up in a warm rain. BTW what happens if you put a cold plastic top down?
