Default Chip Magnet

Hey all, I found that my S2000 is a rock chip magnet. This summer I've gotten numberous rock chips, 2 on my hood and many on bumper. The amount is much more than any other vehicle I've owned previously. I think it's got alot to do with low profile. I'm thinking of 3M application to bumper, hood, lights, mirrors. Anyone else have this same experiance? Anyone have another solution? i.e. bra vs 3M?

Just wait. Someday you just might get a burrito in the face.

yeah it seems that my bumper has gotten much worse in the last few months than ever before. I guess its unavoidable with a car this low

I went through this when I first got my S I was shocked at how weak the paint is. Haven't found a good solution other than not following too closely behind cars.

I had my bumper replaced after a lady bumped into me a couple of months ago and the new paint already has a few rock chips. It's just going to happen so I don't let it bug me too much. I bought a touch-up paint pen from the dealership this week and I'll use that on the more noticeable spots.

Unless you buy the car already in a condition with lots of paint chips it's imperative to install a clear bra if you don't want to have a rough looking frontal area.

I had a clear bra installed less than 2 weeks after buying my S2000 and the only paint chips on my car are 5-6 higher up the hood.

Its definitely worth the money
