Chirp and LSD?
Hey guys. I finally got enough miles to Vtec! I tried chirping but it wouldn't is this because of the LSD? Also, does LSD prevent me from doing burnouts *havn't tried yet*?
If I'm just shifting too slow or something what are some good techniques for a good chirp. Thanks guys.

Rev. to 7000rpm and side step the clutch. You will see a nice burnout
And if you want to do a donut do same as above and crank the wheel to which ever direction you want your car to spin.
Note: This is hard on your engine and drive train and could damage your car or property. Do it at your own risk and in safe places like big empty parking lot.

If you are refering to chirping from first to second, you have to shift just before rev. limiter. Use the clutch and soon as in second gear step off quickly. You should feel the the rear end squirm as it chirps.

plus, if you do this enough, you might be lucky enough to smell your clutch die an untimely death and hear your rear diff. come apart.
seriously though.

chirping is a just a side-effect of an effective, quick shift. but when you get down to powershifting, there's no chirp, just pure & constant acceleration.
any kind of high rev shifting will wear away the clutch. driving the car normally wears away the clutch. it's a part of the drivetrain that is MEANT TO BE WORN... if you're out there to save your clutch, you'll never really see what the S can do. 13.66ET isn't a result of conservative clutchwear. maybe you need a kia or a saturn
mind you, burnouts are retarded unless your using slicks at a track. but powershifting essential if your racing for the best possible ET.
