It can be done in 2nd and 3rd with some high RPM and quick clutch action. I can't hear it in third unless the top's down; it's not very loud.

Exhibition of speed is a misdemeanor... I learned this the hard way.

If you can't chirp the tires in a sub 3000lb S2K in the 1-2 gear change, either your car isn't putting out any power or you're shifting too slowly and gently. I've got a fourbanger Accord with which I can chirp the tires on the 1-2 shift if I'm really aggressive. I've got less than 150 hp!

and the answer to your question is YES.. I did it today in fact.. now third is a good question.. don't remember ever chirping third.
not enough torque to be able to chirp in 3rd, even chiping from 1-2 is hard to do.
but who cares anyways, you dont want to chirp because all that means is your loosing power to the ground.

I chirp the tires in 2nd all the time, and I have 18's. I think my car is getting stronger as it gets more miles (18k).....
The factory tires are really soft when they are new, so that could be it. Maybe try launching in first at 6k, they will chirp in 2nd.
