chirping 2nd????????
i have owned my S2000 since may i have 3400 miles on it and i still have not chirped 2nd is it possiible to chirp or not? i know this is a really stupid question but i had to ask so sorry.
If you can't chirp the tires in a sub 3000lb S2K in the 1-2 gear change, either your car isn't putting out any power or you're shifting too slowly and gently. I've got a fourbanger Accord with which I can chirp the tires on the 1-2 shift if I'm really aggressive. I've got less than 150 hp!

but who cares anyways, you dont want to chirp because all that means is your loosing power to the ground.

I chirp the tires in 2nd all the time, and I have 18's. I think my car is getting stronger as it gets more miles (18k).....
The factory tires are really soft when they are new, so that could be it. Maybe try launching in first at 6k, they will chirp in 2nd.
