i think its easier to break traction with bigger rims my uncle put 19's on his supra and he leaves rubber on the road from 1st to 2nd

Are u getting off the gas when you shift or staying on? If you are staying on the gas and you don't hear it, your shifting way too slow. If you have never tried shifting with the gas floored, be very careful, you miss that shift and its gonna sound real bad.
Ahhhh the good old chirp.....Mine is more like a bark. I could not do it when the car was brand new.....now I can do it know at will. You can do it at 6500 rpm if ya want i find leaving a little bit of gas on during the shift helps. Mine is more like a heavy
woofing bark....if you could imagine that....i only have 5500 miles on the car so the tires are still very sticky. But 25% gas during the shift helps...i really think the aem cia intake helps and the voodoo shift knob helps to. I think the reason i could not do it when i first got the car was it takes a few thousand miles to get use to this gear box....ohh and if your going up hill at all the chirp get longer and stonger!

To sum up what I am trying to say...please answer the original question dont say search for it or dont say anything at all. If you have seen the same thread before than ignore it, or if you have the time, answer the question. If you are mad that the same topic keeps coming up then fvcking ingore it
By the way...somepeople exert pressure on the shift knob....ok lets say your in first gear it is natural to have your hand exerting
pressure towards the front orf the car ..this is not good for the chirp....you should exert slight pressure towards the rear of the car on the shift knob.......enough not to force it out but pressure toward the rear ....this can save you as much as .1 to .2 tenths of a second on the shift it might not seem like a big deal but it all adds up. That way when shifting to second it is smooth and no jambing that stick like your cutting ice cream cake. That slight change of pressure might give ya the endge in a chirp and a close race. The natural tendency is to exert pressure toward the front. don't ....be light and gentle with the shifter......being tight and aggressive loses time.
