Default Choosing tires to avoid rubbing

Can anybody help me with tire choices, i bought some used enkei rpf1 staggered set and on the rear the specs are 17x9 +45, the tires came with hankook rs4 255 40 17. The car is also lowered with tein lowering springs so it is 1.5 inch lower. There is rubbing and i had the fenders rolled but there is still a little rubbing on the edge of the tires. i want to avoid pulling the fenders so if i switched the tires to 245 40 17 would that fix the issue? any advice would be much appreciated

Take some time to find out where its rubbing. Might just need fender tab trimming or a proper alignment.

You haven't provided enough/any real details. So...nobody here is going to be able to give you functioning advice on what will solve your problem.
