Default ChrisD going back to stock

I just saw in the For Sale forum that Chris is selling everything and going back to stock. Last I read that Chris was waiting on a final dyno tune. I was just wondering what had happened to one of the pioneers of the high horsepower S2000's.

The pioneers checkbook spontaneously lit on fire.

Hopefully it wasn't some critical engine and/or bottom end failure...

beroznikmal, is right that sucks. I know how it feels to dump money into a project and have nothing but problems. I dump 25k+ into my 99 Eclipse GSX, after having a 98, and I didn't get out of it what I put into, so had to sell it but I'm moving on to bigger and better things, namely a S2000. I hope you are keeping the S and just not going turbo with it. I sold my 00 Si to work on my Eclipse and it was the biggest mistake I made, should of sold the Eclipse, you can't beat a Honda. O, the Eclipse guys are going to be angry with that statement. Well best of luck with what ever you do with the car as long as you don't sell it.

It wasn't a major failure, some burning on the pistons (meaning either new pistons needed to be bought or ground down).. Since I am really overextended at the moment, and the car doesn't fit my lifestyle (I'm going back to college.. parking for a nice s2k on a fratboy-filled campus = ), the car is being sold, the parts auctioned off, and one sad little ChrisD moving on to whatever's next.

Well, that double sucks now because you're getting rid of the car, but school does come first. Worst case, sell the car now, go to school and later down the road pick up another S. I know you can't leave to long without VTEC, especially with the top down.
