Try not to force anything too much. My hands were too large to get back there and screw it on, but you may have better luck. If you pull the port out slightly, the harness will move forward and the part you need to screw on will hit your hand so you can grab it.

You might also want to try loctite or something else to prevent it from happening again. When the dealer put in my airbag switch, he saw the loose port and fixed it at no charge since he was tearing up all the trim in the back anyway.

Thanks, I have taken that area apart before when I did my stereo system install, but n ever the glove box. I might just put a temp fix which will be to use silicone to hold it in place, I really dont feel like tearing that area apart again. Its a pain.

For this reason I installed 4 12v outlets under my seat. So I can charge things and not have to worry about taking up arm room, or breaking that outlet...perhaps stick that back in and install another one somewhere else?

I finally fixed mine.

Basically you have to go in thru the driver's side, I could not reach it from the pax side. Move the driver seat forward as far as you can.

You will see the two little brackets for hanging things I guess, remove both, they have a cover u have to remove to gain access to the screws. Once removed, remove that panel, basically just pull it out, it snaps in.

Then there is one screw right by the center console that you have to unscrew, this will allow you to lift up the bottom corner of the console to put your hand in. Also I took out the screw out in the middle of the center console in the compartment.

You have to have small hands, but just pull the console up, slide your hand in and then rescrew the sleeve back on the lighter. Then put it back together. Its a tight fit, but it can be done.

Ahh, you fixed it before I got to the end of the post. I've fixed about 6 of these for various people and you did it correctly. No need to remove the center glove box if you can squeeze your hand in there as you described. Just 3 screws and about 15 minutes and your good as gold.

Good goin'
