Default city with the most ragtops?

I know Austin has a TREMENDOUS amount of ragtops: S2000's, Boxsters, MRoadsters, Z3's, and also the most Miatas per capita of any other city.

Where do you think most of the ragtops reside?

I'd vote for my home town - Tampa, FL.

Unfortunately, it also probably has the greatest number of rag tops that are never taken down, despite perfect weather. It's really, really sad actually. You'll see couples on what looks like a Sunday drive in X vehicle when it's 75 degrees and sunny with the windows and top up, one after another. (Insert smilie icon w/ tears)

I would think L.A. or Miami, Because of the warm climate of course....

Well the South Florida area I think has the most.

The funny thing is most go unused, but the people still have them. Especially Jags and Mercs.

Do you have the answer to your question? If so is it per capita or total number?

Hi,

In Europe Germany is the country with the biggest amount of sold soft tops. A bit strange, since the weather only is suited for that kind of car in the summer time.

Gotta agree with this. It hardly rains here and even in the winter, you can keep the top down year round.

California must be one big city. *chuckles* I know of a California, PA though.

I'm sure there are quite a few convertibles out there, and the weather and just being in CA makes it all worth while. However, I dunno... Austin has quite a few convertibles, and I can drive two blocks and pass at least 10 of them and at least one of them has a dealer tag on it. (no exaggeration)

I dont have conclusive information on this subject, just wondered what everyone else thought on the topic.
