When I'm shifting into third gear, it would sometimes make a "clanking" noise going into that gear - I wouldn't call it a grind though. Going into other gears is smooth and has that quiet snick sound. Does anyone experience this?

 

yes. it's normal. the s2000 transfers more transmission sounds than most cars out there. we are basically forced to hear sounds that we don't really care to...but in a way it's cool...
