You are on our board for 129 days and the only thing you've contributed to is the discussion of the rear window and now this motion to advance a Class Action lawsuit on Honda.
You have a total of 10 posts and 8 of them are here in this pathetic thread!
Since you seem to be a fast learner of how things operate here on s2ki.com, perhaps you would like to share?
Don't make accusations you can't support. You are being foolish, again.

Just as it is your opinion that what I posted was "uncalled for" is the same as my opinion that ghubbell is an idiot.
And when I use idiot, I am meaning it as a description that he is foolish and not stupid.

I cannot believe the attention this is getting from all of you S2000 'enthusiasts'. It's like you don't want to believe that the almighty HONDA could do wrong... or as the case may be, care that they do wrong to you.
All the Honda employees on this forum must be laughing at the passion with which THEIR MISTAKE and consequent disregard is being defended.
Some of you might want to look clearly (obviously not through your rear window) at what was proposed way back at the start of this thread.... and perhaps consider stop sleeping with your S2000 keys under your pillows.
ghubbell, stop being so 'foolish'.

I read your post ltweintz - you bought a used car with a hard to see through back window. That doesn't really say much about Honda, does it (unless you bougth it from a Honda dealer who didn't clean it up). And it doesn't make the car unsafe, does it?
Everything requires proper care. If you want to nitpick, in the manual it says that you shouldn't operate the top when its dirty. How many people wipe down the rear window with a car duster or plexus before putting the top down? I'm guessing very few (I do it about 50% of the time, usually if there is dust visible on the window). Cdelena, my window is now nearly 30 months old. I've even lowered it a few times without my towel in place (wind had blown it out of position). Yet no new scratches. I believe that the reason it got scratched so seriously when I first put it down was dust/dirt in the top well. Now that I keep it clean, the occasional plastic to window contact doesn't seem to be a problem. And Honda is very gracious about polishing the window for me when I bring it in for service. To date, the outside of the window is in excellent condition. A slight crease appears when I leave the top down for a day or more, but nothing major or unexpected.
Could Honda have done better in 1) Its design, 2) Its care instructions and 3) Its treatment of customers? Absolutely, you'll get no argument from me. My point throughout this thread has been that there is no legal justification for a lawsuit, or even for discounted replacement parts. Honda would be well advised to consider some goodwill resolution to ensure customer satisfaction, but that's more a case of corporate stupidity than it is liability for anything. Those people who's windows cracked or delaminated have a valid cause for a warranty claim, and I haven't heard anyone saying Honda wouldn't help them in those cases.

As for the maturity and objectivity, it is your opinion and a decision can hardly be based from only internet posts. I don't have to prove why I make a decent moderator. From the 4k+ posts that I've contributed on this board, this is the only one where I've gone a bit off the edge and hardly that. Nevertheless, I apologized for my actions.
I am voicing my opinion on why I think folks with the rear plastic window wanting to start a CA lawsuit with Honda for insufficient reasons (other than purely wanting a rear glass window) is just absurd. But this is my opinion and I have every right to address the thread as so.
this thread is weak. 2000-2001 owners should have known the way plastic windows cloud. there are TONS of old miatas on the road; some with cloudy plastic and some with crystal clear plastic. Porsche Boxsters have plastic rear windows. if you're too lazy to care for it, then suck it up and dont b****; or save up and get a 02+.
and yes, it's easy for me to say because i have a glass rear window. boohoo for you.
