cleaning?
What is the best way to wash the rear plastic windshield? I can't seam to find a good way to wash it. It's so hard to get to it. Is there anyway to take the plastic cover off and wash it? It's a 2000yr model.
Thanks.
Thanks.
The rear plastic window is the first thing I wash, followed by the headlight lens, taillight lens, and high mount brake light lens. These parts can show scratches very easily, so I wash them when the car wash water is still perfectly clean.
I wash the rear window with a non-abrasive (duh) chenille wash mitt (same thing I use on the rest of the car). When I'm done washing, I'll use Plexus plastic polish on the inside and outside to try to prevent outgassing as much as possible. That's pretty much it.

My 2001 just came out of storage, and the plastic rear window is remarkably still quite clear, keep a can of Plexus with you at all times! It's awkward to clean the inside of the plastic window, but it can be done, try using different arms for maximum reach.
