Cleaning the Wheel Hub?
I am getting a squeak from right rear wheel. I first assumed it was the brakes, but I changed those and it didnt fix it. So since it was under warranty i took it to the dealer.
They told me it was a dirty wheel hub or something. They wanted $125 to do it. I told them no way for that price I'd take it elsewhere.
What is the procedure for this? Can I do it myself?

if its under warrenty why do you have to pay? at any rate if its a constant squeak then your wheel bearing might be dead. or it could be the classic case of a loose axle nut. do you get a squeak from a start off or going into reverse?
Bad Bearings tend to rumble, not squeak. If it's really the hub that needs cleaning, I typically do mine with a knoty wire brush attachment to a drill. Pull off the wheel, and brake rotor and clean under the rotor. I'm skeptical though. When bolted down tight the wheels shouldn't move against the hub. Movement is what causes squeaks.
I'd check the backing plate/dust shield to make sure it's not touching the rotor.

its all over the place. dealer tells me its all labor and not covered under my honda certified warranty. so i take it to sears, who has always been honest with me, and they tell me it's the hub assembly that needs to be replaced. If that is the case I am going to take the car back to where I bought it and tell them to fix it for free or refund me the value of the certified warranty.
I had a once per rev squeak from my left rear wheel. Re-torquing stopped the noise for a little while but about a month later the car wouldn't pass inspection because the rear hub/bearing assembly was noticeably loose. No rumble that I've always associated with a bad bearing, just the squeak. Cleaning won't do a thing...

I assumed the honda dealership was competent. they charged me $88 (which I argued down to $44) to diagnose the "dirty bearing" and tell it will be $125. So I took it elsewhere, was told the hub needs replacement. So I called the dealer I bought the car from and made an appointment and made it clear to them I dont expect it to cost me a dime, and they agreed.
