Default Clearing CEL

I want to clear a CEL so I can get rid of the car.
I don't have a cat anymore.

It's some combination of holding down the trip button while turning the car on but I can't remember exactly. Do a search. It's been documented before.

That's the maintenance light procedure, not the CEL (IIRC).
Not sure if there's a way without an odbII scanner and I think it will just come back.

Although I don't think we want to help him in his Federal Crime.

If you turn in the car and they notice you have no cat... even after the fact, they're going to turn your dumb azz in.

If you have other plans for the car (like a track vehicle), then no problem. Just don't drive to the events.

Wait, so you want to disable the light instead of actually addressing the problem so you can get rid of the car? Doesn't that constitute fraud?
