i'm getting a clicking or buzzing noise in the center of the dash next to the windshield. it's driving me nuts!! anyone know what it is or what it might be?

 

Beats me man , I have that too for like 10000 miles now , I learned to live with it

 

its normal. Its the famous clutch buzz sound we get. Sucks but doesnt hurt anything. Just annoying.

 

I hate this buzz... why has it become known as a 'clutch buzz'??

it's coming from the dash, only happensd on deceleration & yes it goes away when the clutch is dis engaged but its not (or doesn't seem to be) related to the clutch?

any enlightenment or fix?

I doubt it's the clutch buzz if you have an '04. They fixed that problem back in '01 or '02.

 

i'm taking her in sometime this week. i'm gonna see if the dealer can fix that problem. one thing i hate is weird sounds coming from my car. if they i can't fix it i guess i have to live with it and turn the music louder. i will keep you guys posted if i find out anything.

 

please let us know - i am very curious to see if the dealer comes up with a cause/solution... I basically refuse to allow my car to be seen by a dealer service department...

I had a clicking sound coming from my dash as well. Drivers side (I believe) to be more precise. It wasn't the dreaded clutch-buzz since I have that too ...I thought it was the radio so I turned that off and it still came. It has happened to me twice thus far.
