Default Clicking noise when windshield wipers activate?

I just bought a 2001 S2000 with 10k miles on it. When I turn on the windshield wipers I can hear a clicking noise from the dashboard left of the steering wheel. If I put the wipers on intermittent I will hear the click every time the wipers activate. The click sounds like an electronic switch. Is it normal to hear that clicking sounds on a 2001 S2000? If not what could it be? The person ran a power cord for his Passport radar detector so I am wondering if maybe he messed up the wiring.

I have also noticed that the drivers side sprayer does not work. Has anyone else had that problem before? It is strange because the passenger side works. Both are fed by the same main line so it makes me think that the drivers side one is clogged somewhere. The outside of the drivers side sprayer looks brand new as well as the piping under the hood so I have no idea why it would get clogged with only 10k miles on the car. The car itself is in excellent condition.

Lastly I have two small dings in my hardtop. Can those be removed by the people that do paintless ding removal or is it not possible on our aluminum hard tops?

Thanks for the help in advance.

- John

The clicking noise when the wipers activate is normal for MY2000 and MY2001.

I'd bet the drivers side sprayer is just clogged.

the reason why the other nozzle might not be working is because it might be clogged with car wax. use a small needle or pin to remove any excess wax that might be in the nozzle. worked for me.

Id say that what you are hearing is the wiper relay. Absolutely normal on all motorvehicles.

clicking is purely design. I think we all have it

clogging can be solved by a safety pin possibly as was mentioned.

dings on hard top ? matters size ? actual dents ? in my area the paintless dent removal companies do not guarantee for jobs such as hard tops , so you may wanna investigate that further.

I noticed it the first day. I've never had the clicking on any other car I've owned. MY'00 BTW. Probably nothing to worry about.
