damnit i forget who diagnosed this problem. i just went through the effort of posting pics. there is an unsung hero out there somewhere

i find that the cloth of the 3m velcro is more durable than thin felt.


can you think about how many non s2ki members out there rolling with their tops clicking. how sad.

 

lets get the word out. we can cure this horrible disease, and help it from spreading. Those with this are going around suffering for no reason, when i fixed this it was like a cure for cancer. Well not like cancer but you know what i mean. But whoever found this miracle cure is a hero in my book.

 

Not sure if I was the first but after a couple months of trial and error I finally figured out what was causing the noise and posted about it in this thread last spring. It was a life saver for me . I actually just replaced those felt tabs yesterday since they were almost worn through after 8 months or so, and I also stuck some felt on the strikers where the soft top hooks grab them to keep them quiet too .

I hate rattles, clicks, and noise in general.

I experience this click, especially in the cold.

I will try this fix.
