Hi all.

My car is still at the dealership after the 1-2 grind and the new updated clutch installed.

There is a clink sound coming from somewhere when the rmp reaches between 7000k and 9000k rmp(this happens when in any gear and even when not in gear).

The Technician there has no clue what or where the sound is coming from. They even called Honda Tech Line with no answer from them (the service guy told me that the car is still very new even to the Tech Line).

If any of you that have had this problem and know where or what is creating it and have had the problem fixed. Please help me out so that I can have a print out to show them. And if you can provide the name of the Dealership that worked on the problem it would be helpful.

Thank you.

Several members suffered a scored cylinder #4 and mentioned a clicking sound. You should search the archives.

Skinner, can't help, I don't have this sound. I hope this thread will enlighten the high rpm sounds topic.
For my part I have a sort of air whistle sound (not a clink) appearing around 8500rpm, sometime not, sometime more or less loudly... It oftenly appear at high rpm in third gear. Don't know what it is, I've determined it is linked to the rpm but excepted this everything run perfectly.... Does anyone have this too?

No idea on the clink, but the air whistleing sounds like a vacuum leak. I would check the rubber hose that leads to and fro the throttlebody. Especially suspect is the hose to airfilter box since it is easy to not get installed properly in the grooves when snapping the top on.

Thank you Skarv, you confort me, I though about the airbox, since one day during last summer I've played with it, driving wihtout it.
I said several times in my mind "I should verify if the air box is well fixed on... this could lead to a whistle" and... I allways forget to do it when I take the car!!
I will check!!! I will!! I will I will!!

What do u mean by "the rubber hose that leads to and from the throttlebody"?
