How fast are you guys going on the spirited mountain drives. I went driving with a few other S2K drivers in the mountain and I never got over 60 mostly 50 going up hill, I can still feel the G forces at that low of a speed. Are you guys going faster than that. or do I need to be more carefull at my speeds.

Glad you didn't crash your ride, I try to stay away from roads with gravel on the side.

How bad is the drop-off? Looks like you could have gone over if you had missed the fairly short guard-rail.

your name reminds me of an exit here on the 15freeway on the way to Vegas... but your title should have been a great example of wrong tire sizing because some non-staggered tires can make the car handle better as long as you dont go smaller than stock rear sizing

Where is that? AF canyon? That's a nice drive with great views.

Nice save. I saw a NFR on its side on my way up the Emigration Canyon. Made me almost sick to my stomach.

Drive safe.

Sinji,

True. The tires could be sized better and handle closer to stock. I'd pay you handsomely if you'd be willing to take a drive to the exit and get me a few photos of the sign and surroundings. I've wanted some good photos for years. I love that road.

dmw16,

You're telling me! I really don't think the prior owner did much research on the tires and wheels before he put them on - they just looked cool. In fact, he only drove the car about 150 miles on them before he sold the car to me. S02s are next!

Paul,

It's in Diamond Fork Canyon - fabulous drive, but REALLY tight. Sorry, what's an NFR (noob me)?

he probably just bought the cheapest tires he could find. Those things are dirt cheap on tirerack. Something like $80 each.

Is that in Spanish Fork? I've been up that canyon. It's a nice drive, too. But you're right--really tight.

And as Dave said, New Formula Red S2000 is what I was talking about.
