Yes, it's in Spanish Fork Canyon. The NFR sounds very sad. Although they may not consider it worthy of the site, you should have taken pix and submitted them to www.wreckedexotics.com - one of my favorite sites.

You know, I thought the same thing afterwards. If only I had a car cam so that I could disect the incident better. I'm lucky I bought a new camera phone recently, or I wouldn't even have pics.

Thanks. It's an LG Chocolate - a cool phone and the camera is a 1.3 megapix, so it has decent quality (but no flash).

I wouldn't blame the non-staggered wheels as the title suggest. There is always a range of tire widths a wheel will accept (as our tire stretching drifter friends will remind us) so you can have a staggered tire set up within a set of wheels in one size.

Overcooking a tight corner and slamming on the brakes with cheap undersized rear all-season tires is what caught you out.

Nevertheless, you saved it so nice job and good story too.

I think that with a properly staggered setup, the rear would most likely have been less prone to fishtail in this situation, even with the cheap all-seasons.

Note: I didn't SLAM the brakes; I was completely off the brakes before the tires lost it. The original post doesn't have the timeline laid out exactly correct.

Thanks for the compliment on saving it. The Spa had as much to do with it as I did, I feel.
