Default Clutch Engagement

My01 clutch is engaging near the top of it's travel.
But no slipping yet.
Got about 25K on the odo

Is this normal?

Doesn't sound normal to me. Clutch should engage mid stroke.

having an engagement point that's too high also makes city driving unbearable sometimes. Take it back to Honda and see if they could do anything ... or ask your mechanic to check it out. There is a way to adjust it, but not recommended for those who don't know how to do it well.

I agree with the others. Have the dealer take a look at it.

On another note, an '01 with 25,000 miles is a good find.

The dealer told me the clutch is worn & can't be adjusted.
It's OK as long as there is no slippage.
A new clutch installed is $1350

Is this a reasonable $$$ ???

Try changing the clutch fluid. Mine was feeling pretty bad until I changed the fluid -- much better now. Might take a few flushes to get the gunk out if it's never been done.
