Default Clutch Labor Cost????

As a new s2000 owner, I have begun to fear the demise of my clutch and was curious how much/long (hrs.) it takes to replace a clutch. I would like to add a Star Kevlar clutch (for longevity) and wondered the labor costs in addition to the price of the clutch. Would it be better to go to an independent shop or to a dealer? The clutch seems fine now but who knows how it will be faring after a few months with a driver not accustomed to stick shift.

Thanks,
Rade

My dealer quoted me 4.2 hours but this may vary. This was the standard time that Honda Australia allow for the work.

As for whether you should go to a dealer or independent that's pretty dependent on the quality of either. Unless they had a very good rep I wouldn't go to an independent mechanic that had never worked on S2000s but Im sure that plenty would tell you different. I just dont like being the test pilot.

I read just the other day that someone thought that their clutch was on its last legs 10Kkms ago so dont rush out and replace it.
