Friend of mine that is a tech at D.B. Honda in So. Ca., says there is a TSB on this issue and that's it's a known issue across almost all of the model years from what he remembers. The fix IS a master cylinder replacement from the clutch.

I guess I will have to have him fix it for me. I think I can trust him not to trash my car?

There's a slight possibility that the master cylinder could fail. but I think the feeling and sound would be much worse before it failed.

When did your start and did it just come out of the blue?

I had this same issue.

all I did was adjust the clutch engagement point under the dash. and vouala....no more click

But be careful, you could engage it too early, and the clutch will be always engaged while driving.

Are there steps for this. is it easy to tell without driving if you have mis- configured the adjustment point?

Thanks for this. maybe the dealers are doing this just to get the extra hours/cash from Honda.

I think ever since I bought my car with 44k miles it had it. Now it has 61k..and it still has the sound.

If your clutch isn't slipping and you don't have problems changing gears. you probably don't need an adjustment.
There are no multiple adjustments. It either works correctly or it doesn't.
Different clutch's may have different pedal travel depending on amount of wear or possibly depending on the clutch brand.
I don't know what the click is. Is it something you only hear or is it something you also feel?

Doesn't this car have hydrolic assist? The click you hear may be a valve opening and closing. If so, this would be normal.
