Clutch Replacement
So make me feel better...my S is my daily and I'm about to replace the clutch at 28,500 miles (I don't track, the damn thing slips so its a repair not an aftermarket upgrade). When did you have to replace your clutch (if ever)?
I've been going now for almost 40K MILES on the original clutch (with the last couple of years being supercharged). The clutch is only now beginning to slip but only on really hot days and vigorous driving. I may change it next spring.
A recent report by another board user states that he is over 100K miles on his original clutch.

I have 22K and the clutch still works great. My experience with other vehicles historically required a new clutch between 50-60K. It all depends on what technique you use for your clutch. If you ride the clutch and/or try to make each and every shift as smooth as silk, you will probably go through clutches faster than I do.
84k on my original, now at 110k on the next OEM setup.
1 clutch dump, no track days, plenty of spirited drives in the hills and canyons, tons of bumper to bumper daily commute traffic, VTEC daily, engine brake all the time.
Oh and 75k+ on the OEM brake pads, until I decided to upgrade rotors so I did the pads as well. They still had plenty left.
Your results may vary.

I had to replace my clutch at around 30k miles also. But it was because I learned how to drive manual on this car and I beat the crap out of this car[in open parking lots] when I first got the car. Anyways, I opted for the Exedy clutch kit but it was to harsh for daily driving, so I took it out and sold it. So then I ordered oem parts and took it to a local mom and pop shop near my school and the install was bad. So then at 35K miles I needed to replace it again! So I ordered the kit offered from hardtopguy and it was the best setup ever. Needless to say, I think I spent WAY too much money on clutches.
