Clutch slipping? it's fixed!
I have just over 13K on the odometer, and I have a toda flywheel, and toda clutch disk installed on the car since I hit 3.5K on the odometer. My car had always made a strange clicking noise, but recently it got worse. took it to the dealer and found that the bolts(spindle bolts) holding the axles to my diff were loose and getting loose everytime I kept driving. Tighted them up and the car is a new beast. Now I have a different problem.
I have replaced the 04 clutch slave to the 03 slave to remove the delay so I know it isn't because of the delay valve. At redline shifts(doesn't matter in what gear because this happens in every gear I shift too from redline) there is a slight slip, or what sounds like a slip. What the car used to do shifting to second when I had the delay valve, now it does this for every gear. Could my clutch not be able to handle the 8lb flywheel? Is there a chance it might be fried(so many people have fried my clutch while driving it's not even funny)? Or does anyone know as to what this problem might be?
Oh and this doesn't seem to be effecting the performance of the car at all, or daily driving. It still pulls but I cannot tell if there is any lag due to this slipping.
all info appreciated.

i would try to help you out there, but i dont have a reason for my slipping. i did the slave mod and i used to be able to chirp second, but now its smooth transitions as the clutch slips and slips until both speeds are the same. 4000 miles on my car.
Thankx, I don't believe my problem is the that I replaced the slave. I think if I explain what I noticed today then I may get some more feedback.
When I shift at redline from any gear into the next(2nd to 3rd, 3rd to 4th, 4th to 5th, so on) it feels as of the clutch is slipping and the rpm in between shifts only drops from 8k to 7k no matter what gear I'm shifting into. I did another test after letting the car cool for about 2 hours, and hit VTEC in second. went to redline then shifting into third and felt the same the except this time my rpms jumped up to redline again without any grip what so ever. Kinda like doing a standing burn out. I believe it may be my clutch, well actually I'm pretty sure that it is. Just was curious to see if there is a chance it may be something else?

Mine has been doing that too man. Mine will do a 1/4 second slip only when I redline. My rear wheels seem to lose traction too. I cannot tell if it's my clutch or crappy fuzion tires
although I've had the tires on awhile and didn't have this problem until a month ago.
55K miles.

sorry i meant, after i did the mod i could chirp second. after a few hundred miles i couldnt. fast shifting without waiting for revs to drop = slip slip slip grab redline shift slip slip slip grab redline
ok, you replaced the flywheel and the clutch disc, but you still have the stock pressure plate? Is this correct? If so, that is probably your problem. I know the PP on the AP1 is crap and I assume it is the same on the AP2...

Yes, it is crap on the 04. I modified my slave cylinder as soon as I bought my car, but my clutch began to show signs of slipping at 15k miles. It was so bad one track day that it just let go in 5th gear and the rpms started climbing up.
My solution has been to replace the pressure plate with the ACT heavy duty one. Man does it feel 10x better than before. The clutch pedal felt like mush stock compared to this. The grip is excellent, but not stupid aggressive. Very Drivable. I just put in a new OEM friction disk and throwout bearing with the ACT PP. Definitely a good combo

You really can't power shift (no throttle let off) the S2000 either. You have to make deliberate shifts and be sure to slam on the power after good engagement.
Not like my old '94 5.0 Mustang where you could just stay into full throttle through the shift.
Interesting thankx for the information. I began to think about it being the stock pressure plate with the aftermarket parts. Could be that this is the problem, but also this problem began this week. I've been driving around with this set-up for 10K miles and this had never happened before. If this is the problem then great because it'll be a lot cheaper to buy a PP then a whole new clutch
