thkx that was the plan. I figure if I have to replace one thing, it's best to replace everythin at once. If it turns ou it is just the PP then I have a OEM disk waiting at home. If it's the clutch then I'm trying to decide what kit to go with as a replacement. Right now it's between ACT, or exedy. Could the flywheel also have damage due to this problem? I hope not.

It might be a bit glazed over, but it's not an issue like the disk would be. There are three ways to approach this.

1. Take it to a shop to get the flywheel turned or resurfaced (not sure if that's a good idea or not with the Toda)

2. Manually "resurface" it by roughing up the mating surface evenly with some 200 grit sand paper (not enough to take down the material, but just enough to take off any disk residue that might be on it).

3. Assume it's not damaged or glazed over enough to matter and just stick it back in.

It doesn't sound like it's really a big deal though if you can slightly feel some slipping. I'd say just rought it up, clean in in a solvent, and stick it back on.

thkx for the info .

I don't believe the flywheel will be to bad. The slipping really isn't that bad, and since it started to slip I haven't been driving it hard.

I don't think the Toda flywheel can be resurfaced, but I will manually try it myslef as you said.

Have a family member who's willing to check it for me for free, and even replace it for free, hoping I have time to do it over the weekend.

Once again thkx for all the help guys, and I'll keep this updated once it's taken care of just to let you guys know what exactly went wrong.

thought for those that "care" or give a shit, I'd let you know what's up. Installed the ACT Clutch Kit, and the problem is more then solved. My clutch disk had nothing on it, and the stock pressure plate was burned up due to the slipping.

The ACT clutch is rated to have 30-40% more grippin force, but i'd say it's more like 70-80% lol. This thing gripps like a matha #$@$@er. anyway as for the flywheel, it was in good condition. Nothing wrong with it except it had what looked like two small surface cracks(very tiny areas), but I did a manuel resurface and it looks like brand new. So alls well, and thkx everyone who gave info. Peace

it's not the disk that makes the it grip so fast, it's the combination with there PP. By the time I got home I got used to it pretty quick(12 mile drive). You don't expect it to just grip so fast the first time you try it, but after a while it isn't bad on daily street use. I stalled the first couple times, but once I adjusted my driving I didn't stall again.

would i recommend it for street use? yes it feels fine as far as me using it for street driving. everyone has there own preference, but it feels very good to use for street driving, plus the added grip it provides is amazing.

oh i c. I would assume it works just as well with either disk. The ACT disk also had four springs like the stock disk, unlike my toda disk which had six. The only difference I saw from the ACT compared to my stock disk, and to the toda disk was that it was a bit more beavier. I'm in socal, maybe at a next meet just ask and I'll let you drive to compare it to yours.
