Well, since Monday it is officially mine! #200784 was finally driven into my garage after a variety of problems with probably the most irresponsible and stupid dealership in the World!! Anyway, taking delivery with 16 km. (10 m.) on the odometer of the Silver/Red Stook and with a very small hit (1 cm. width) on my rear right fender, (made me furius) I noticed the following:
The weird whizzing sound coming from the engine when you start the car, which burned the gases etc. etc., the notchiness of the gearbox in 2nd and 3rd gear (like rubbing two dry surfaces together) but most of all the odd whooshing sound (please excuse my descriptions, it is not my mother language!) when I accelerate the car from a full stop to 2000 r.p.m.!!! It feels like something is wrong in the gearbox. I mean after 2000 r.p.m. it sounds like any other motor up to 4500 r.p.m. but rolling with e.g. 2nd gear at 1200 r.p.m. and depressing the gas pedal that whooshing/roaring sound comes alive and then stops at around 2000 r.p.m. Also when the clutch pedal is not pressed there is a funny sound coming underneath from the car, whereas when I press it, it stops! I am a bit worried here since I have already experianced the above with 140 km. on the car. HELP Anyone?

PS. It feels like my RX-7 racing clutch and the mazdaspeed quickshift! The racing clutch made that noise!

Here are the service bulletins currently out. These apply to Model Year 2000.You did not say if your car was a 2000 or 2001?

Thanks UTAH S2K. My car is a 2000 model. Although I got it on March 2001, the ******* Dealership could not give the 2001 model because they had a stock of 70 cars to sell!!!
So I should wait for the next delivery (probably a year and a half) and I would be satisfied!!! But still, has not anyone had that problem when buying the car?
