Default Coastal Metals CAI

Anyone install the Coastal Metals CAI in a 2002 model? It is their front and side grills along with a CAI.

If so, what did you think about installation and effects?

Thanx

Is the cutting and drilling simple or complex?

Is there a template for the cutting?

What kind of tools are needed for the cutting?

Thanx

It looks pretty simple. You cut a round (3" or 4") hole in the end of the stock airbox nearest the fender. Drill several holes for a flange, bolt it on and clamp the hose from the vent (I'm assuming that you cutout the vent on the passenger's side) to the flange. It looks like a dryer vent hose that goes down to the air vent.

The cutting and drilling can be done by a dremel tool and usually takes about an hour for the side grills, and about 15-20 minutes for the air box. A template will be included when the hole is cut for the flange, and the flange is then screwed in place. The hose goes from the airbox into one of the two circular shaped holes that allow air in after the side vents are cut out.
