Default Buying a CAI............need ADVISE please.....

I have been cruising around with my airbox top off for a couple days and I want to make the plunge and do it right. What's the best, EASIEST, CAI I can get at a reasonable price to make the car sound and maybe even perform a little better. I have limited installation experience and don't want to damage anything obviously. Please give me some options that are "no brainers". Thanks

Why do you have the cover off of your air box? All that does is make it loud, while sucking in hot air. You loose horsepower by doing that. The CAI will do the exact opposite, by pulling colder air from in from of the radiator. If you want it to be loud, then go with the AEM CAI. It is about $200, and relatively easy to install. I installed mine in just a few hours. It has a constant diameter steel pipe that goes from the TB down behind the radiator, accross to the passenger side, then into the bumper / fender well. It is pretty damn loud, but I think it sounds great.

A friend of mine picked two up at a local shop for $220 each. I can ask him for more info, but I'm sure you can find it cheaper.

I went with the Ingen CAI and have no regrets. The sound is nice and really cranks up on VTEC. The installation is not that difficult, though the instructions are not the greatest. I took my time and went for the install without removing the bumper. After doing the first one, the next one would a third the time. The clearances are all good and I lined the opening through the fender well with cobra - a product used by roofers for roof ridge vents - plus I did drill the faux air intake and covered same with a drilled out Coastal cover. The quality of the CAI is superb and the combo sound hooked to a Neuspeed exhaust does it for. If you want to check it out come to Marblehead - near Port Clinton, OH - and you can see/hear for yourself, if that will help your choice. I paid $234 shipped. regards
