The New Coastal Metals Cold Air Induction System is finally ready and tested. Check out how it works, and just what the Air Induction System does for the S2000 at:

There goes the possibility of using those for brake ducting, which will give you more track benefits than the cold air induction, imho.

I rearranged the numbers found on David's web site to make them clearer. The following is approximate.

1) It looks like under performance conditions (front grill cover off, no AC), this system reduces intake temperatures by 6 degrees and radiator temperatures by 7 degrees. A 6 degrees F increase is about 3 degrees C, so it costs about 1% of HP.

2) Running around town (AC on, front grill cover on), it reduces the intake temperature by little or nothing, and reduces the radiator temperature by 3 degrees.

3) Running AC is a problem in any case. It gives a 6 degree increase in intake temperatures and 13 degree increase in radiator temperatures.

I'm curious....is there enough room to run one or both CAI to the air cleaner box?

This can
also be used to keep debris out of aftermarket cold air induction or bake
ducting applications.

This is a quote from the website. So it looks like you can use it for a brake cooling system!!!

Just spoke to coastal metals, the kit is for passenger side only, the tube from the airbox is not connected to the back of the air inlet in the bumper - it basically sits straight above the opening by about 12". Looks like a decent system but I would really like to connect the tube to the air duct. Does anyone see an advantage to using this in conjunction with a spoon or mingster CF air duct?
