The New Coastal Metals Cold Air Induction System is finally ready and tested. Check out how it works, and just what the Air Induction System does for the S2000 at:

Another addition to the Honda S2000 from Coastal Metals.

The Cold Air Induction System comes without the side grill pieces. The Induction system mounts with just an open air bracket, but you can get the side grill pieces to go with the Air Induction System.

David,

Did you measure a difference in effectiveness of this system between side grills installed and not installed? I assume that the numbers on the website are WITH grills installed?

The numbers on the website are without the side grills installed, the tests with the grills on only changed the air cleaner temp by about 1.5 degrees, and about 2 to 3 degrees on the radiator temp.

Another Note. The Honda S2000 Air Cleaner Box (the black plastic piece in front of the condenser), actually works to cool the condenser. If you take this peice out, during our tests the temperature in the air cleaner raised by 5 degrees, and the radiator by almost 10 degrees.

Man ... Firstly the price is awfully high for something like that, considering there are so many other options out there like the Spoon airbox extension pipe and the Mugen airbox as well. Sorry but, I'll not exchanging my fake air vents for something that doesn't blend into the car. Apparently, it's only been designed for silver in mind? One more thing, how heavy is that compared to JDM air intaking options?

The Cold Air Induction does not come with the side grills, when originally installed it mounts with open air brackets, the side grills are an option. Also the entire weight of the Cold Air Induction System is less that two pounds.
