Steve, you seriously are the man
I am currently running the JIC's as you can see from the link posted above. You can catch my first impressions through that.
Its now been a month since i have had them installed and i think everything has settled quite nicely.
JIC also offers a few different levels of coil overs but i think the model i have is the only one coming to the states. Its also the top of the line model as well. The design of the unit seems very similar to the buddy club unit which i think is superior to the rest because it allows height adjustability without sacrificing suspension travel. When lowering the car, you actually manipulate the body of the shock, not the collar, so travel remains the same.
Another really nice feature about these are the spring rates, which i believe are 7k front and 8 k rear. This allows them to be track worthy and extremely streetable as well. I have not been in a Buddy Club equipped car but i have heard horror stories of harsh ride and not really being a street version. As you can see from my picture, my car is slammed to the floor. There really is not much room to go lower. My car was set up by the JIC people themselves and corner balanced and aligned in house. I reminded them about the problems that the S2k has had in the past in regards to lowering and they told me that they would change anything i wanted if i was not comfortable. My 63 year old dad took a ride in the car the other day and was not bothered at all. The car does not bounce anymore than it did at stock level, and more than, the rear suspension actually feels better.
Most of all though, they are quiet. I have had coil overs in the past and the made noise. Creaks and rattles here and there that just made driving annoying sometimes.
If there is anything else i can answer for you guys, let me know.
