Default Coilover overhaul/servicing?

I'm looking into coilovers and though I like the features that many of the JDM brands offer (sometimes price, sometimes things like full aluminum construction), many of them cannot be serviced in the US, nor do they have a representative office in the US that can coordinate the servicing. To my knowledge, only Tein, Zeal, and JIC currently have either service capability in the US or can coordinate servicing with Japan (e.g. Tein's aluminum dampers). A'pex may be able to coordinate servicing, but they can't do overhauls in-house in the US. I'm wondering what the owners of brands such as Buddy Club, GP Sports GR-6, etc. plan to do if they want/need to overhaul or service their dampers. I'm looking to see if there are service options locally that I have not thought of. Otherwise, I'll limit my search for coilovers to locally servicable brands. Thanks.

P.S. What's the best deal you guys/gals have found on Zeal coilovers?

This is a good question. I've wondered the same myself. It worried me enough that I 've written off some of the more exotic dampers and will probably just get some Bilsteins.

BTW, what are the service intervals for some of these coilovers. The only ones I know are the Ohlins coilovers - 60,000 Km (36,000 mi)

I think one of the assumptions you have about coilovers and their owners for the JDM brands is that most of them don't keep the car long enough to need to have them serviced.

There is a thread about JIC and their lack of customer service for their products here in the US, so strike them off of your list as well.

TEIN also only services the FLEX model here in the US. So the list is getting shorter.

That is the main factor for me to get the Teins.

BTW scienceofspeed has the endless zeal function b6 for a pretty good price.
