All I'm asking is to point me in the right direction as to what brands to look at, or even places online where I can browse... I want to lower my car, more for looks than for handling purposes, but I don't want the handling to suffer by just putting springs on the car.
I thought I just gave you some tips a couple posts above. I have no more info than that, because all my research was aimed at a different price point and purpose. Good luck, maybe somebody else will chime in. But mostly people tend to just say "Buddy Club is da bomb! " because that's what they bought.

I'll help you out. I would look at the Bilstein PSS9. I want to say they are in, if not close to your price range and people generally rave about them.

Just to toss out another suggestion, I went with the Spoon Sports dampers. I know they're not "coil overs" or adjustable, but they are built by Showa, the OE supplier. They were simply rebuilt to a different specification to accomodate a progressive lowering spring. I use the Spoon spring as recommended. Both together are in your price range. They work OK for me at the track, but limited. Perfect for street use. They make the car feel alot firmer without bouncing or porposing on the road. You will need to get the camber dialed back in though.

Chalk up another vote for PSS9's from Bilstein. Easily the best hardware out there for under $1500 IMO.

Consider Ground Control with Koni shocks - you pick your spring rate!

All I can say is the $ will tell you the quality, like your case I'll recommend those +/-$1000 coilover to you.
If you'll go to the track alot in the future, +/-$2000 is you should think about.

have not had problems $875 for the s2000
in an aftermarket part you should hope for "improvement" (in some shape or form) and not "hope there are no problems"
