are the injen and aem direct bolt on? cause i heard that the aem cai required that you needed to cut a hole for the filter to fit down in the bumper. also does the aem or injen sound any different? or is it similar in sound?

Yes, there is some cutting down below. It's not that big of a deal. I may be selling my AEM V1 at the end of the month.

 

You need to cut two holes. The following might give you some idea of where the holes are:
