Default Cold tires+ wet road=I'm stupid

First off I want to say this was completely, totally, 100% MY FAULT...I was making a left turn across a four lane highway...It was misting outside and the roads were slick...My tires were cold and I was obviously not thinking...I hit second gear and the S snapped to the left then to the right and then did a complete 360 to the left...I ended up facing the wrong direction in the dirt on the side of the road... The road was under construction with metal construction barriers lining the entire road..I must have missed ten of them and ended up paralell parked between two of them facing the wrong way...Like a glove!......Anyways I believe this was the S gods reminding me that cold tires+wet roads=very bad things.....Could have been much much worse...FLAME ON

Damn! Glad you (and your car) are okay though. Also nice to see you're taking responsibility. But calm down out there! Oh, and don't forget, slamming on your brakes is the LAST thing you want to do when spinning out.

Geez, dude, you gotta learn how to make it sound good! How's this:

I was making a left turn across a four lane highway...It was misting outside and the roads were slick...My tires were cold and I was obviously thinking, wow, this would be a great time to see how my car handles in the wet.
I hit second gear and the S snapped to the left then to the right and then did a complete 360 to the left., exactly as I expected. I ended up facing the wrong direction in the dirt on the side of the road, having done a graceful balletic slide between the metal construction barriers lining the entire road. I ended up parallel parked between two of them facing the wrong way, with inches to spare on either end of the car.
I'm thinking of becoming an instructor at the local evasive driving technique school.

If you were turning left how did the tail end come to the left side? That would under-UNDER-steer.

Oh yeah, making the tail go ahead of the front once is only a 180, not a 360.

You forgot to add something about "quick reflexes" or "lightning fast reflexes."
