Cold weather/best performace tires?
The cold weather has brought a decrease in traction, but nothing I'd consider dangerous just to be more cautious. I've never bought snow tires for any car I've owned, but all the posts about how bad these tires are has grown some concern.
Recently moved to Columbus, OH. Anyone familiar with this climate that can recommend some winter tires?
Preference would be based on best performance in cold dry/wet but can still get a lil grip in the white stuff. I don't mind losing a bit of snow traction for better overall performance.
Thanx in advance for any suggestions.
Jon
p.s. Great site!!!

You may want to ask here: http://forums.s2ki.com/forums/forumdisplay...p?s=&forumid=95 and see what they are using.
I'm just a bit west of you and I have an extra set of wheels that have snow tires mounted on them. This is what I would recommend for the winter. I can use my normal tires any time that I want to, since it only takes a few minutes to change the wheels. I used the snow tires last year with all of the snow that we had and it was great.
