No offense, but that's ugly. Hope no one minds me being truthful.

Song,
don't know if this applies to the Colgan bra specifically for the Stook...but thought you might like to know this and keep an EYE on the following...

heard from someone w/ an ITR who used a Colgan bra and said it worked great but THEN.....

some stiching came loose?, or a little undone in some places along the bra itself and caused some UNSIGHTLY scratches to his front end...specifically the part that covers the edge of the hood I think...
to say the least he was pretty PISSED, as I'm sure you would be...SOOOOO

FWIW, Looks clean like it'll do the job...
just watch the stitching, clean that badboy and beneath it regularly along with some liberal wax,right?...

Hmmmm, maybe after I see your results and the condition of your front end 3 months from now....maybe then I'll be brave enough to use the factory bra I got w/ my car....

Bpearl

ps...aren't there supposed to be boobies under bras... I only see one in the middle?

the bra looks ugly, but on long trips(100+ miles) it will save ur front end with smashed bugs and flying rocks. i will use it on long trips only and take it off once i get there.

Rob:

Sure you can use the pics. I posted them so that others can see for themselves before making the decision. Some will like it, some will not. But that's expected.

Spectre: I do not have the spoiler. I had considered getting one, but blew it off and decided to keep the lines of the car clean. Of course, one could argue that the bra disturbs that "clean" look.

Wesmaster: No problem at all. I'm am not so insecure that I will let another person's opinion sway my mind . In the end, it's very functional. There are many things in life that are very functional but do not look as good as it could (think Hummer) and then there is form and function (Think S2K and Ferrari). I spent a long time getting bugs, dirt, etc. off of the front of my car after the last long trip. I also have to commute over mountains each day. There is always debris on the road it seems and the trucks on the road only make it worse. It was alraming how many tiny nicks I had on the front end. This bra will save my car from further damage. ...very functional.

BlackPearl: Thanks for the heads up. I'll keep a lookpout. I had a Porsche 930 Turbo Cab that I put a Colgan bra on. It survived many years without incident. I will occassionally take this off and check it out to see if there is anything awry. Also, I wonder if it would be good to wax liberally under a bra. Wouldn't the bra just rub it all off?

By the way, I want to mention that the service from Top notch was...Top Notch! It was super simple to place my order, they knew abou tthe group buy price and I got the package very quickly. I have nothing but good things to say about them thus far.

I've had my bra since the very first ones came out. I've been pretty happy with it since I got the redesigned one, but a word of warning to anyone using it: don't spin your car into sand and leave the bra on Charlotte goes in for a little paint work as a result of that in a few weeks...

Also, we don't know anything about the paint on the S2000 since it's a relatively new paint for Honda (water based); but the paint on previous Hondas faded a bit, and constant use of a bra made the fade inconsistent. I don't think that will be the case with our cars, but it's a thought to consider.

I only use mine on interstate or long distance trips. It works, but it's been described to me as "some kind of S&M device." I didn't want to know more about why, so I didn't ask...

I think you should definately wax before installing the bra. You should also remove the bra before every bath, and then make sure the bra is free of any dust, dirt, rocks, etc. before putting it back on.

I wish I had a bra on coming back from Seattle, even tho there were no drastic chips or anything it adds a level of comfort on the superslab and is a good addition for trackdays.

That being said tho I'm not a car bra fan and think they look rather hideous... not to mention what it can do to the paint if not properly maintained. The only color you can get away with it is with black, as shown.

For those of you interested in an alternative, you might want to try the 3M clear adhesive from Xpel:

go to the bottom of the page. Recommended to get it installed by experts unless you have alot of freetime or experience with it.
