Default collector car

how many of you bought the s2000 with plans of making it a collector/show car (i.e., no miles, garage/showroom kept, etc., etc.). I always think its interesting to see say, a 1970-ish honda civic with 300 miles on it, and is in showroom condition. I kind of had that idea for my s2k, but spending all that money and then not driving it at all seemed kind of dumb for someone like me (someone who doesn't have so much money that they can buy cars which just sit around).

It was built to be driven hard. Enjoy it; take care of it, and it might hold its value as well or better than a lot of other cars. At this point in time nobody really knows.

It would be great if my S2K held or even increased in value, but not at the expense of letting it sit in my garage.

Life is too short, enjoy it while you can.

I don't care what kind of car you have, I think the are meant to be driven. That being said..if I had the money ( which I don't ) i would love to have a second one crated up, with 0 miles on it in twenty years time. But for only my own enjoyment. it would be like christmas all over again!

I'm in the same boat as you, don't make the money to have a toy that sits in the garage. Even if I did, why bother owning something so fun to drive and not enjoy the ride.
Just take care of it, love it, enjoy it, life is too short to just sit back an watch.

Yep, thought about it. Any intentions, nope. Everyday is like the testdrive with this car. Putting it in the garage would be like when we all shopped it out at the Honda dealer.

I think if I had the money I'd be driving a 512 Ferrari Boxer as my daily driver, every ten thousand miles I would smile greater...

Ahh to put 100,000 miles on a Boxer

I know a guy (he's very wealthy) that bought a brand new Ducatti 996 R or something that he specially ordered from the factory with no fluids or fuel. It is hanging up on his wall.
