color ap1 NFR and ap2 NFR (06)

Default color ap1 NFR and ap2 NFR (06)

i am not sure if this is in the right place but,

i want to know if the ap1 new formla red paint is the same color shade as the ap2 new formula red (my06) coz i am buying a used mint condition ap1 NFR fender. i wanna know if they are the same before i make the trip to pick it up.

I would imagine theyre the same, if it was a different color code it would be a different name. The only thing youre going to run into is a difference in color due to the sun fading the fender. Red fades worse than any other color so expect it to not match 100%.

to me.... different.

im not saying they are, but when i looked at the '07's, i walked right past the red. did not catch my eye at all. when i saw my '03, i totally fell in love with the color. 'till this day, when i see '07 NFR, it looks different to me.

I just looked at paintscratch.com and it confirmed what I was saying. An 03 and an 06 s2000 both have R-510 as their NFR paint color code, so it is the same.

Definitely consider the fading thing though. Unless the guy has resprayed the fender it will be faded compared to your 06. It doesnt matter how well he has taken care of it, 4 years of sun will take its toll on the fender

the sun will make NFR go pink or a light red color.

That sounded like nothing but a biased view from MY03 NFR owner justifying your own purchase.
