fact is that ap1's are older than ap2, hence a longer lifespan and 'more' opportunity to be in the sun; fading. It is the same paint code, but that doesn't mean anything. Everything from climate, mixing, sun, and the amout the previous owner cared for his car (wax/uv protectant) have something to do with it being a different color.

One thing to look out for is the color being different in a different light. For example they might look identical in the sunshine, but make sure you take another look right after the sun has set. AP1 NFR always seemed to look more "orange" to me in poor lighting, but only when it was side by side with an ap2. I can notice the biggest difference when comparing a bumper to a fender.

Opinions really don't matter here seriously. Subjective view is useless if the code is the same. We might as well ask some color blind for his opinions huh. He asked if it's the "same" color, if the code is the same, that is all to it. Whether under what condition to whom it looks are irrelevant to him. Itn_Trbl, this has nothing to do with me having a thin skin or whatever. Of course anyone is entitled to their opinion, but you can spit out all your excitedness with your NFR s2k in a thread like "why did you buy s2000" which clearly asks for your opinions.

Simply put, he asked "if the color is the same." Since the code is the same, the color IS the same. We don't need, "to me, it's different" or even worse "I walked right past the 07 NFR" shitty comments. Growing a thick skin is needed in here but that doesn't entitle you to bs anything you want without any respect.

If this is still too hard for you to understand, just put yourself in his position and think: What if I want to buy a car and trying to know if there's any color difference between xy model and yz model. Would you rather get a bunch of "to me, my model looks different and attractive" or a simple answer like "The color code is the same."?
