Color Choice - HELP!
Sorry Kim but I'd have to disagree you need to expand your horizons and go with the only jaw dropping, gawk whatevering color there is and that is ofcourse yellow. I'd hate to see you settle for anything less, because anything less would be settling. Look at a spa yellow up close and you will fall in love...

According to some psychological studies, the color you pick depends on your personality. so i guess it just depends on *YOUR* personality.
here's a summary from the study:
Black: first choice for the success-driven and ambitious;
Red: outgoing, impulsive, creative and easily bored;
Silver: associated with style and success but also pompous;
White: distant, dutiful, aloof and methodical;
Grey: safe and cautious showing understated taste;
Blue: team player and sociable but lacks imagination;
Green: class-conscious, traditional, not very original; and
Pastel: shy, introverted with a tendency to depression.

it's an interesting survey definitely, although there lots of things that could make it inaccurate. personally i would'a picked grey if i had the choice... but silver was the closest. Love the silver, much darker than some other silvers such as the BMW Titanium silver. BMW Steel Grey is great.

Picking the color of someone else's car is liking asking someone to pick out a wife for you. Whatever flips your switch is what you ought to buy. You don't know me from Adam, so my choice of silver/red should have no bearing on what you like (even if it really and truly is the very best color for this car).
I liked the Silver very much...having owned 4 black cars previously (last was a C5), I just decided that I had enough of the black - it's just too much work to keep clean.
I don't want to offend anybody, but personally, red in my opinion is the worst color. It does nothing for me. I really like the white though - it is fresh and always looks good. I couldn't stomach the red interior - so that was how my first choice was made easier for me.
Yellow is what I went with because it is the most 'stand-out' color. Yes, it screams attention and it's the newest color. It looks great and is easy to look after! Plus, the pearl paint looks awesome in the sun.
The new blue will be too much like black to keep looking good. Although it is a nice color. It will show scratches and marksmore easily too.
Personally, you have to go with the color that YOU feel most comfortable with. Don't worry about resale or anything like that. Although, I can tell you that yellow in the C5 Corvette is the color that has the highest resale value.
Do what you feel right about!

This discussion has been had before. The 100% consensus of everyone on this board is that you have to get Red/Black if you can. Everyone else had to settle because Red/Black was not available at the time they made their purchase. They all plan on having their cars repainted Red at the earliest possible point in time. I, myself, have been offered 10 thousand dollars plus another S2K of inferior coloring and of course had to turn it down. So get Red my friend and you'll never regret it.
Actually.......um....sorry to break it to you Strike..... not everybody wants red!
The dealer I was going to buy my car from offered me a Red and I turned it down. Several other people did too. Nobody wanted it and it took them a while to dispose of it even at MSRP. Before the yellow came out, everybody wanted the Silver.....
but as I said before, color is a personal thing.
