Default Which color is the most prevalent?

I know that most of us have listed our respective car colors in our signature lines. But I thought that perhaps this would be a more efficient way of determining the most popular color.

My '03 is Silverstone/black. My second and only other choice of color would have been Berlina Black/black.

Peace,
Guy

Here is my thoughts on the colors:

Spa/Rio Yellow: Cop magnet...probably my favorite color of S, just chose not to have the po-po looking at me as much.

New Formula Red: Cop magnet, and a good friend of mine as an 02 in NFR.

Berlina Black: I would love to have this color, but my wife's Rav4 is black....I wanted to be different because keeping one black car clean...let alone an SUV...is enough.

Grand Prix White: Had a white car before...just a wee bit boring to me, but I still like to see the S in white.

Suzuka Blue: Not my style, but I still like it.

Sebring Silver: To light of a shade.

Silverstone Metallic: Sexy, and it was available locally.

I would love to have the Laguna Blue Pearl too. Thats a beautiful color.

Sebring and Silverstone are by far the most prevelant. I wouldn't be surprised if close to 50% of NA S's are these two colors.

The rest of the colors are pretty evenly distributed, with Berlina leading the way and yellow close behind, imo. NFR, SB and GPW all seem to be the least common exterior colors.

I love black, therefore I have the Berlina Black...spend a lot of time trying to keep it clean---parked outside most of the day!

Really like the Silverstone.

Used to dislike white, until I saw September's ride of the month.

Maybe you should start a poll?

Does anyone have definitive proof that cops are more likely to notice and pull over Spa/Rios and NFRs? I haven't had a ticket in over 8 years (driving a red MR2 Turbo)...maybe I just drive too slow, but to not pick a color because it might attract cops seems a little silly. (Then again, maybe if I had 2+ points on my driving record, that might matter a bit more...)

For me, it was a very close decision between Rio and NFR. As attractive as Rio is, red is ultimately the only real color for a true sports car...

I don't understand the fascination with black: Shadows don't show on black, therefore black doesn't allow one to see the sexy contours and angles of the S2k.

The silvers are just another shade of grey.

And white is the absence of all color, or is it the addition of all colors?...either way, it's not much of a "color" IMHO.

Anyway, I'm sure we'd all have different answers if the question was whether we liked blondes, brunettes or redheads... So there really is no "right" answer, I guess. And that's a good thing for the redheads in the world, as I may like red on cars, but I don't really appreciate red on women....

I've long suspected this to be the case. So I thought that this thread might serve to validate my opinion.

The ultimate pig-repellent color: Freeway-cement gray.

From what I've read over the years, red & yellow draw the eye, so cars that are these colors draw attention even from cops. White is most noticable when you are looking for it, so white cars are the least-hit vehicles, and dark grey is the hardest to see, so it is the most-hit vehicle color.

I've had red sports cars before, and the attention from cops is greater than with a white sports car, imo. NFR is my second choice for an S.

Also, There is an old thread I started about color: https://www.s2ki.com/forums/index.php?showt...2&hl=what+color
